Margaret and Russ Cobane, Artists and product developers of Lake Orion, Michigan, announced today that the Gift Essentials division of Gold Crest Distributing, owned by the Toellner family in Mexico, MO, has acquired the exclusive manufacturing and sales rights to existing and future Cobane Christmas Ornaments. Grant Toellner, Vice-President of Gift Essentials commented, "We have worked with Cobane for several years and our customers love their 'World's Best Nature Ornaments' and when the Cobanes asked us whether we'd be interested in their ornament line as a step toward the Cobane's slowing down and retirement, it just made sense to do." Toellner continued, "We are looking forward to working together with the Cobanes to create new and custom ornaments for customers and we are bringing back several great retired pieces from the past in the 'special occasion' and 'family first' areas." Toellner added, "We are launching this new addition with a large new 'Special Christmas Gifts' Catalog and Pre-Booking, and the Cobane line will be featured in an expanded Christmas section in our Gift Essential and Gold Crest booths in Atlanta, Dallas and Denver."
Margaret Cobane commented on this sale, "The Toellner family has the same Christian values and commitment to service that Russ and I have and we feel they are the perfect new owner to take care of our ornament line and we look forward to helping them develop new products in the future." Cobane Ornaments are available in many independent Gift and Nature and Wild Bird stores across the nation and have been featured in the National Wildlife Federation catalog for several years.
